How To Sprout From Seed

Sprouting is a great way to add extra nutrients, flavor, and texture to your dishes, and this set provides the best conditions for sprouts to develop. It's ideal for a variety of sprouts including broccoli, green beans, radish, lentil, alfalfa, and more.

How To Sprout From Seed

Method

  1. Place 1 tablespoon of seeds into your Kilner jar.
  2. Soak seeds in for 15 minutes in undiluted vinegar before starting the sprouting process, this will kill any harmful bacteria.
  3. Rinse using cold filtered water for a minute after soaking, place lid on jar.
  4. Leave to soak in a dark environment at room temperature for about 12 hours (soaking times may vary depending on seeds/pulses used).
  5. Refill and refresh with filtered water 2-3 times a day.
  6. Sprouts develop over 2-5 days.
  7. When ready, refrigerate sprouts for up to a maximum of 4 days.
  8. The developed sprouts can then be consumed straight away or stored in the glass jar using the one-piece lid.
